i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.
yesterday my country had 300 active fires.
people are losing EVERYTHING they own.
i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.
and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish.
i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately.
but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

This is fucking important. I am glad someone fucking spoke about this and said what they had to say. The damage is terrible, and all the evergreen, stone, even the ground is black. I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. It didn’t go away for weeks.

The bodies of 26 people in Greece were found huddled together on a field close to the beach. A woman who had made it to the water with her 3 Yr old told the press people were running from their cars towards the water, but the fire moved so quickly she knew many of the people behind her wouldn’t make it. She found the path to the beach, but those 26 people? They didn’t find the path in time. The terror they must have suffered in their last moments doesn’t bare thinking about, but at the same time we have to confront this. If we turn away, we are complicit. These aren’t entirely natural disasters after all, this is climate change in action. And it will continue to get worse.

Okay but Ego was super impressed about hearing that Peter could hold an Infnity Stone, even for a couple minutes, and said he had to be his son, had to be a Celestia to survive that.
Well Jane was possed by one for a few day, so who the Hell is she related too?
Low-key, since she a Peter are basically the same age, I’m gonna headcanon now Ego got busy with some other Earth lady (you can say Ego loves Meredith, but I mean, cheating is a thing, and how much love do we really think that psycopathic planet really had in him). And, also, like, her mom died of cancer in the comics when she was nine, just like with Peter in the movies, I’m just saying. They’re totally half siblings, fight me.
An explanation for why Yondu didn’t go pick her up along with Peter though, is maybe he told Ego he’d only pick up one kid at a time (since Ravagers apparently aren’t even supposed to deal with kids at all), and then while he had Peter, figured out what was happening to Ego’s kids, so obviously didn’t go back to Earth at any point to have gotten her.
This theory is incredibly intriguing. Now I’m trying to remember if we ever learned anything about Jane’s father….
Only, I think, that he was friends with Selvig, and (maybe) a scientist too (in the comics he’s a plumber),
But I dont think its a stretch to imagine Jane’s mom could have thought she’d never see Ego again, and when she ended up with another guy, that guy was around for her and Jane, and became Jane’s father and who she called dad regardless of blood relation.
(Ive been thinking about this theory non-stop since I thought of it last night. Could you imagine how dumb Odin would feel realised he didn’t think a Celestial was worthy of his Son)
Considering how Odin treated his own second son and underestimated him at everything, it’s definitely not something he would have anticipated.
My goodness, does it make sense though. Jane Foster as half Celestial. I’m taking this theory now. That’s incredible. That would also make her and Peter Quill half siblings. Peter Quill would have a sister haha.
Could you imagine after everyone found out and they’re just looking between Peter and Jane like “how?”
But also, I think Jane would be the younger sister, and we know Peter’s all about Classic Family Tropes (Play catch with his dad lmao) so he’d totally be all over Thor when he finds out they used to date, like “Don’t even look at my sister dude, you lost all privilege when you broke her heart!”

What if her mom also told her tales of a man from space? Like she figured out her father wasn’t her father? So that’s why she goes into the field of study she does. She might be trying to find proof or find him subconsciously. “Space is part of me” is probably something her heart tells her now. It’s a comfort, it helps ground her and helps her feel like her true self. I mean, she had a fairly calm reaction to Thor at first, even though she also responded like a normal person for the most part… Just a bit too calm and collected. She was excited but maybe she half expected to find something like this one day. Like him.
Notice how this is only the second time that Sam and Steve are meeting. In which, Steve visits Sam in his place of work because Sam – a casual runner he met on his jogging path invites him. This scene is so significant because, Steve Rogers has been shown to be pretty closed off and trusts no one at this point. Since he’s lost everyone he loves, he’s been having a really hard time adjusting back into the world. And he just meets Sam and there’s something so charming about Sam Wilson that Steve Rogers can’t help but trust him the moment they meet.
Not only that, media has shown us that relationships/friendships between male characters are generally always portrayed with too much testosterone or frat boy culture. But not Sam and Steve. Steve genuinely cares if Sam is okay. Sam genuinely cares if Steve is okay. This is their second meeting and both men are asking each other if they’re happy with their lives and making each other smile. And it’s so pure.
The friendship/relationship between Sam and Steve is often overlooked/overshadowed by Bucky and Steve’s friendship, but don’t sleep on them. Sam and Steve are just as significant as Steve and Bucky & Steve and Nat.
